![]() ![]() ![]() Most of my city/towns have less than 10 noteworthy locations and I still have maps because they are very helpful for me to form a mental picture of the city when the players are within it, and from that I can do a lot on the fly. If you have a city with more than say 10 major locations the players will be visiting multiple times, and they may need to bounce between them, having a more detailed map like this actually helps you generate those travel times and other stuff. Then again, if you're clever you needn't even bother, just keep track of the relevant information about the city and each location within it (such as rough distances between places, etc). Its very useful if you have a chase sequence or big battle, anything that takes place in multiple city portions at once. ![]()
